A recent partnership between Scientific Games (SG) and Gift & Go will enable lottery players to take advantage of loyalty and second-chance rewards in a new way.

Gift & Go, an award-winning on-demand customer gifting platform powered by Amazon, is already available for more than 1.5 million players across five US lotteries through the agreement. Additional lotteries should follow in the future.

Those that have already implemented Gift & Go include:

  • Arkansas Scholarship Lottery
  • Maine State Lottery
  • Maryland Lottery
  • Missouri Lottery
  • North Dakota Lottery

What is Gift & Go?

Gift & Go is a platform endorsed by Amazon Business and runs on Amazon-fulfilled technology. It was designed to improve and cost-effectively carry out gifting.

For lotteries, it gives players access to a broader range of non-cash prizes they can redeem for loyalty rewards points. This includes states with online lotteries, like Maryland and North Dakota, and those without, like Maine and Missouri.

Other leading brands to use Gift & Go include Apple, Best Buy, Uber, Playtech, and Hard Rock Hotels.

Jon Reuben, Co-CEO and Founder of Gift & Go, said in a press release:

“Gift & Go is excited to expand our gifting on-demand solution to the lottery sector with a seamless platform that allows state lotteries to easily deliver the gifts their players love. It’s a real-time solution without additional cost or effort, which makes it perfect for lotteries.”

Lottery players provided 1,800 Gift & Go rewards options

The Gift & Go platform presents a perfect solution for lotteries to give back to their loyal customers.

Players can choose from up to 1,800 items through Gift & Go’s digital store. Even better, Amazon’s fulfillment delivers those gifts in two days, just like a Prime subscription.

Before Gift & Go, players had to wait two to four weeks for traditional lottery fulfillment.

“Through our new partnership, we’re thrilled to bring an enriched loyalty experience to our lottery customers, integrating the convenience and perks of Amazon seamlessly into our offerings,” said Amy Warner, SG’s Senior Director of Digital Engagement. “It’s a very enhanced e-commerce experience that provides choice, reliability, and value.”

Kansas Lottery levels up with Scientific Games deal

Though the Kansas Lottery is not one of the five states to debut the Gift & Go platform, it recently made headlines alongside SG for other promising reasons.

The Kansas Lottery signed a five-year agreement with SG to enter its Enhanced Partnership program, which will optimize the state’s entire operating system for its lottery. This includes:

  • Portfolio management
  • Game-planning services
  • Analytics
  • Logistics
  • Branding
  • Marketing support

SG works with over 150 lotteries around the globe. More than 20 of those use the Enhanced Partnership program, including five of the world’s top six instant game lotteries.

Through the program, SG also provides the Kansas Lottery with its SCiQ retail ecosystem, which offers cutting-edge security measures and real-time analytics.

The program claimed a 33% improvement for participating US lotteries in fiscal year 2023.
