Through 11 months of the fiscal year, the Kansas Lottery remains right in line with last year’s record-setting sales pace.
The state reported its May sales results earlier this week. After 11 months, Kansas sits at $313.2 million.
At this time a year ago, it had $313.4 million in sales. The year-over-year difference is just 0.05%.
That gap was a little bit larger coming into May, but last month saw Kansas generate $26.4 million in sales through lottery draw games, scratchers, and instants. May sales were 7.3% greater than the total from May 2023 ($24.6 million).
Last month’s spark gives the state a chance for another record-setting year in 2024.
