New Yorkers in the Hudson Valley region are about to lose one of their lottery customer service centers.

The New York Lottery website indicates that the service center located at 18 Westage Drive in Fishkill will be closing permanently on March 29.

These service centers allow NY Lottery players to claim prizes of over $600, with a cap of $500,000.

The New York Lottery Customer Service Center in Fishkill is just one of two available prize centers in the Hudson Valley area.

As of March 29, only Resorts World Hudson Valley in Newburgh will be an available prize center for that region. A New York Lottery official confirmed with PlayiLottery that all operations from the Fishkill location will be shifted to Resorts World Hudson Valley.

“We are shifting operations to Resorts World Hudson Valley. That will allow us to provide extended hours and is a more convenient location for customers.”

Resorts World Hudson Valley 10 miles from Fishkill location

For Hudson Valley residents, the only location for a lottery service center in the region will now be Resorts World Hudson Valley to redeem prizes for tickets such as lottery draw games.

That is located at 1401 NY-300 in Newburgh. It is positioned 10.5 miles away from the Fishkill service center location. It will require customers to cross over the Hudson River.

Altogether, the New York Lottery offers 14 different customer service and prize claim centers throughout the state.

The only other one within 100 miles of the current Fishkill location is Empire City Casino Yonkers Raceway. That is about 50 miles from the Fishkill center.

Empire City Casino is located at 810 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers, NY 10704. It is available seven days a week from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., aside from Sunday when it opens at noon.

Other options to claim NY Lottery prizes

The Fishkill service center location was available for players who needed to cash in a winning ticket by appointment only. It ran Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Resorts World Hudson Valley does not require an appointment to cash in a winning ticket. Its claim center operates Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. It is also open on Sundays from noon – 9:30 p.m.

To redeem your prize, you need:

  • Your winning ticket
  • A filled-out winner claim form
  • Valid government-issued ID
  • Valid Social Security Number or FEIN

However, prize claims are capped at $250,000 at the Resorts World location.

If reaching a service or prize center isn’t an option, you also have the ability to mail in a winning ticket to the lottery with a winner claim form. You can send information to New York Lottery, PO Box 7533, Schenectady, NY 12301-7533.
