The Washington, DC Lottery released its upgraded app yesterday, bringing a fresh look and user experience to players in the region. The DC Lottery app is now available from the iOS App Store and Google Play. Download it as you would other online lottery apps and you can then play lottery games anytime, anywhere.
Frank Suarez, Executive Director of the DC Lottery, said:
“We are excited to broaden access to DC Lottery and provide the District’s players a new way to play. The mobile app puts the ease of DC Lottery into the players’ hands, making it more accessible on the go.”
Rewards for new DC Lottery players
In celebration of the launch, the DC lottery is offering a lucrative welcome bonus for new players. If you sign up and create an account as a new user, you get an initial deposit match up to $275.
Say you create your DC Lottery account and deposit $100. The app will give you an additional $100 in credit as a bonus. Only your first deposit will be matched.
To get the full bonus, you will need to deposit $275 or more. Lower deposits are still matched, though, so you can make the bonus work for you.

At launch, the DC Lottery app features a collection of e-Instants and many lottery draw games, such as:
- Mega Millions
- Powerball
- DC 3
- DC 4
- DC 5
Other lottery activity around Washington, DC
The District isn’t the only region experiencing lottery growth. Nearby Maryland made big moves this week. The state legislature passed a bill to study the feasibility of video lottery terminals at BWI Airport.
It’s a win for Maryland, and a much-needed one at that. The state’s House let an iLottery bill falter back in March.
