It’s an experience welcomed by players as the seasons turn from cool to warm, with red and gold chili peppers signaling a season of rewards. There’s no better way to shake off the frost than with a round of Hot Pepper payout in pursuit of its $50,000 top prize.

eInstant Game: Hot Pepper Payout

Hot Pepper Payout delivers a novel experience to players at the Rhode Island Lottery. It has one of the world’s most intimidating foods as its focus, but players need not suffer through the excruciating heat of a mouthful of chili to win. Instead, they get all the excitement and none of the burn.

Find the red and gold chili symbols to unlock even greater rewards as you play for a $50,000 payday.

How to play

Hot Pepper Payout plays just like many other games found in the Rhode Island Lottery eInstant library.

Get started by designating a ticket value from the available options. Used the – and + signs to scroll through the denominations before selecting one that fits your budget. Once that’s complete, proceed to the game and click or tap the Play button to begin.

A five-column ticket, on which symbols and multipliers will be displayed, makes up the game board. Each column houses an increasing number of flame symbols, and prize multipliers that range from 1x to 5x.

Select flame symbols to be revealed one by one, or all symbol positions simultaneously by clicking or tapping on the Reveal All button.

Every flame symbol will disappear to reveal a red chili pepper, gold chili pepper, or chili pepper symbol of another color. Players will either receive a corresponding prize value when a chili pepper symbol is revealed or unlock special features for added rewards when either of the remaining two symbols is revealed.

If the player reveals a red or gold pepper, they won’t be rewarded with a prize. Payouts are only the result of finding the red chili pepper symbols and their corresponding prize value. Instead, revealing a red chili pepper in any column with a multiplier greater than x1 will multiply the red chili pepper prize value by that amount. Additionally, revealing a column made up entirely of red chili pepper symbols will award the player the sum of all prizes displayed and then multiply that amount by the column’s multiplier.

Players revealing a gold chili pepper symbol will activate the Hot Pepper Payout Bonus game. This feature presents players with a grid of 16 purple tiles that reveal different-colored chili symbols or multiplier values. During the feature, any of the four chili pepper colors, red, orange, yellow, and green, revealed will be added to the Chili Symbol Meter. A Win Multiplier Meter is also filled as multiplier amounts are revealed during the special feature, with a maximum win multiplier amount of 20x.

The game proceeds as the player selects tiles until four chili peppers of the same color have been revealed. The corresponding meter is filled, and once it reaches the top, the player is awarded the prize value multiplied by the current value of the multiplier meter.

Wagering levels

In Hot Pepper Payout, players are given six wagering options. These amounts range from $1 to $20 per round.
